Meherpur Masterplan
Meherpur Students Development Association (MESDA) is proudly working in collaboration with the Urban Development Directorate (UDD) as part of the Meherpur Zila Development Program (MZDP) — a long-term initiative often referred to as the Meherpur Masterplan.
Since early 2024, MESDA has been actively contributing to this 20-year vision for sustainable urban growth and community development in Meherpur. Our dedicated team of local student volunteers is working across the district to support various phases of the project — from conducting surveys and assisting with PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) programs to collecting local insights and fostering community involvement.
As part of our hands-on efforts, MESDA has taken the lead in implementing a waste management program in Ward No. 2 of Meherpur, in partnership with UDD. This includes: Setting up eco-friendly dustbins, Launching mini libraries on electric poles, Creating public Wi-Fi zones, Conducting tree plantation drives.
To strengthen community engagement, MESDA also organizes outreach events that encourage local participation and ensure the success of the development program.
At MESDA, we believe that the future of Meherpur lies in the hands of its youth and its people. Together, we are laying the foundation for a greener, smarter, and more connected Meherpur.
